Dr. Valerie Ferdinand, N.D. | TPC Naturopathic Physician

Dr. Valerie E. Ferdinand is originally from Northern Minnesota, having moved to Portland in 1999. It was here in Portland that she got her Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University in Biochemistry and Micro/Molecular Biology. After finishing those programs she matriculated to National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM/NCNM) and earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine credentials in 2012.

In the last 10 years of practice she has gradually honed her practice to focus on Complex Chronic Disease with a strong emphasis on Immunology and Chronic Pain. It was through this approach that she sought training in Injection Therapies as a way to improve patients’ pain that provided more lasting relief than a medication could provide. Additionally she has attended trainings to review IV nutrition protocols and safety in order to further support the improvement in her patients’ lives.

When not working or researching new approaches to support her patients, Dr. V enjoys spending time in nature with her dog and with friends. Technically she has 2 cats as well – but they don’t go for walks at this time.
